Develop Local Manufacturing and Farming
The need for towns, villages and surrounding area to develop local manufacturing and farming, including the creation of renewable energy, should be one of the main subjects at the proposed Tuition-Free Equivalency College for Residents Only. See my website at http://election-issues-us.com/equivalency.php
Manufacturing is a must for the creation of jobs to replace the jobs that have been shipped out of the United States through globalization (i.e., for the profit of major corporations and their investors and for the loss of residents of the United States). It is now quite possible to manufacture profitably as to many items because the costs and delays and red tape in long distance shipment, including the higher oil costs, are greater than the higher payroll costs in the U.S.
Farming (including livestock farming) also needs to be brought back to many communities. Farming should be targeted especially when there is a substantial importation of an item into the town, village or area. It may well be highly profitable to be in the business of providing that item to the town, village and surrounding area.
A large number of jobs can be created for the area in this way.
