I am a member of the NYS Libertarian Party and on April 24, 2010 was nominated and became its candidate for NYS Attorney General, in a ticket headed up by Warren Redlich, the party's nominee for Governor.
I am an attorney with offices in NYC and have 40+ years' litigation experience representing small business and individual "private attorneys general" in enforcement of NYS and federal statutes. I have 40+ years of experience for the job of NYS Attorney General and want to use the awesome powers of that office to provide the enforcement of our existing civil laws that our various governmental agencies have failed to enforce, thereby putting the United States into a sad state of economic decline.
The national Democratic and Republican parties have failed to provide the national candidates needed to put the United States back on track. For years most of the federally-elected Democrats and Republicans have been successful in overseeing the transfer of the nation's wealth from citizens, residents, homeowners and small businesses to the large international business corporations and financial institutions, in clear violation of law.
The minority parties throughout the United States (especially when working with a major NYS party (such as the Republican Party in NYS, as to the NYS Attorney General and NYS Comptroller) have an opportunity to correct this problem at the state level, by electing (in 37 states) an attorney general who is willing and able to enforce the laws that are no longer being enforced by the federal government and its legion of ABC regulatory agencies, staffed by attorneys, accountants and others who seek no more in life than to be hired at huge salaries by the too-big-to-fail firms they supposedly regulate. [Also, the State Comptroller is another elective office within the reach of such a coalition of parties and "independent bodies".] The attorney general in each state has a fantastic advantage, which is that his or her jurisdiction is not divided up among multiple agencies (unlike the federal government or the comparable state agencies). Instead, the attorney general generally has the power to enforce federal and state statutes across the board, to protect the citizens, residents and businesses of his or her state.
Election year 2010 is the first time that this option for enforcement has become both clear and necessary to exercise.

As a statewide candidate, I am interested in speaking before groups throughout New York State, to explain how the NYS Attorney General has the power to improve the economy for NY residents and small businesses (as well as residents and small businesses in the other 49 states), and how I would exercise that power. I promise you that you have never heard from anyone else what I have to say. It is new, exciting and just what we need to get this country going again. The NYS Attorney General is a very powerful office and in my hands it will help you and other NY residents and small businesses to take back what has been taken illegally from you.
